‘I can bring my own vision and ideas to the projects I work on’

Nemanja Milosevic, Lead Piping Engineer at KH Engineering

‘I like working at KH Engineering.’ So says Nemanja Milosevic, Lead Piping Engineer at KH Engineering. ‘The work-life balance is good and if you do your job well, there are plenty of opportunities to grow.’

Nemanja Milosevic got his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. ‘Immediately after that, I joined a small engineering company that mainly worked in the oil and gas industry. From there I was asked to work for a client, first as a Piping Engineer, later as Discipline Manager and finally as Operations Manager.’

‘I have always had the desire to work abroad. During my studies, I already worked in the United States for five months. My job as Operations Manager in Serbia became less enjoyable as I had to take on more and more management tasks; I wanted to return to technical side of engineering. So when an offer came from KH Engineering in June 2022, I didn’t really need much thought. As Lead Piping Engineer, I am the link between the client and our design engineers, stress engineers, colleagues from other disciplines and the project managers. It’s a lot of coordination and it also involves budget monitoring, but most of the work consists of nice projects in piping. We do this for tank terminals or in geothermal energy, for instance.’

‘I feel very much at home in the process technology and energy sector. And I enjoy that I can bring my own vision and ideas to the projects I work on. What I like most is when I see that the solution we came up with is built and works the way we thought it would. Last year, we built another great project for a tank terminal in the Botlek area.’

Nemanja lives in Voorburg, now with his wife and twin eight-year-old sons. ‘From there, I can easily commute to our offices in Schiedam and Amsterdam, and I also have the opportunity to work from home. I think that’s a big advantage; working from home at KH Engineering makes you very flexible in how you organise your working day.’

‘I really like working at KH Engineering. The work-life balance is good and if you do your job well, there are plenty of opportunities to grow. Moreover, the working atmosphere is fun and the colleagues are very professional and friendly, also in their communication towards both me and the other colleagues. My colleague and compatriot Marija Mojic helped me in the beginning to get more familiar with the Netherlands and that was incredibly beneficial to me. We also have fun gatherings outside working hours, both with my own department and with the whole team at KH Engineering.’
