‘My foremost responsibility is ensuring that my team can work effectively and comfortably’, says Discipline Manager Piping Chris Bosman. ‘My main focus is therefore on the development of “my” team and combining the projects we execute with the appropriate team composition.’
‘In my role, I am in close contact with our clients, discussing both new and ongoing projects. The scope of our projects varies extensively: from projects for tank terminals to petrochemical plants and a steel plant. At this steel plant, the most recent projects are often focused on preventing or reducing emissions by making technical modifications to the installations. This aptly captures one of KH Engineering’s strengths: providing sustainable technological solutions with a team of experts.’
‘Within my team, I place significant emphasis on personal development; people are given the time for it. Additionally, I consult regularly with the Lead Engineers and take on the role of Lead Engineer for some projects myself. I also discuss the results and how we can bring the project to the best end result with the designers.’
‘I was educated in my native country South Africa, where I completed multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering, education and a postgraduate degree in leadership development at Stellenbosch University and North – West University. Since July 2022, I have been working for KH Engineering in Amsterdam. I had to get used to the diversity of the people in the team: we have colleagues from South Africa, India, Croatia, Serbia and, of course, the Netherlands. Each culture brings its distinctiveness, and I am proud that we have created a close and well-functioning team.’

Furthermore, we have fun activities in addition to the work: KH Engineering often organises something for the entire company and within my department, we also regularly have an outing or a dinner, under the motto: work hard, play hard!’
