Situation

VTTI, an industry leader in energy infrastructure, is developing the facilities needed for a carbon-neutral future. The company continuously invests in storing and handling conventional energy products at its existing energy storage terminal network, while also working to develop and operate infrastructure needed for transitional and more sustainable fuels, such as RNG (renewable natural gas), and LNG (liquefied natural gas), and other biofuels. They also work to develop projects focused on converting waste streams such as old tyres, plastics and used fats into more sustainable  feedstocks and fuels.

By 2028, VTTI aims to have at least half of its revenue come from sustainable and transitional energies. Additionally, they aim to reduce harmful emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels.

VTTI focuses on designing and developing ideas, concepts, and business cases for infrastructure projects needed to support the transition to transitional and sustainable energies. KH Engineering plays a significant role in this process. They handle the BOD (Basis of Design) and the development of the Basic engineering of new designs. KH Engineering creates process diagrams, mass and energy balances, and an overall design outline. Along with budget proposals and investment estimates prepared by KH Engineering, VTTI can more accurately assess the anticipated investments and operational costs.
